LAME calibrates weights and masses, ensuring rigorous metrological traceability using standards linked to international references. This procedure allows the conventional mass of a weight to be precisely determined and the calibration uncertainty to be associated with it.

Traceability and compliance

• For weights and masses used in a regulatory framework (verification of weighing instruments) or in internal use (outside regulated use), LAME issues a calibration certificate complying with the OIML R111 recommendation, with an uncertainty equal to one third of the admissible tolerance.
• In the event of a classification request, this is carried out according to the OIML R111 recommendation and formalized in a verification report.
